Alexandra’s 3 day trip to Transylvania is been for sure one to remember, we travel through forest strewn with golden leaves, deeply rutted old logging roads straight into the old villages. We visited Brasov and Sibiu, stopped to see Dracula Castle, drove to Viscri through the forests on winding roads over the hills and walk through the Medieval Sighisoara. The Peles Castle also has been on the list, under the autumn blue sky, we could admire the wood work and architecture done in the end of 19 century. Astra Museum in Sibiu or known as the village museum has been one of the atraction, with all the traditional homes, from different regions of Romania, dismantled and transported to Sibiu. The day ended with a drive south of the Fagaras mountains staight to the Vlad the Impaler fortress, south of Vidraru Dam.
